About 185 Roehampton Avenue — 155 Redpath Condos
Located at 185 Roehampton Ave and 155 Redpath Ave, this condo was built by the award-winning Freed Developments. And from a firm who vows to create 'design-centric buildings, each with their own unique attitude', this property is no exception.
What’s more, Freed Developments called upon the much-acclaimed ArchitectsAlliance for the design of the structure, as well as NAK Design Strategies for the site’s landscaping. Completed in 2018, these Mount Pleasant condos are certainly bold. Rising to 34-storeys, the glass-clad 155 Redpath Condos boasts a modern aesthetic: bold red glass accents and long clear balconies wrap all the way around the grand podium and the tower above.
Of course, even prospective homeowners with less concern over architectural details find this condo an ideal place to call home. The building contains a long list of amenities, including an infinity pool connected to a set of private cabanas, a hot tub, a sun deck, dining and lounge seating, as well as a fire pit – and those are just the ones found outside. Inside the condo, residents also have access to a games room with billiards tables, saunas, a gym, a sophisticated lobby designed by Johnson Chou Design Studio, and a 24-hour concierge service.
The Suites
Thanks to the acclaimed architects and interior designers who had a hand in the creation of 155 Redpath Condos, the 330 suites inside are sleek and luxurious living spaces. Ranging in size from approximately 400 to 1,400 square feet, these suites consist of one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom floor plans, some of which are spread out over two storeys. Most units boast private balconies, and all feel spacious thanks to their open-concept designs.
Furthermore, 185 Roehampton Avenue features some impressive fixtures and finishes, such as top-of-the-line stainless steel kitchen appliances and hardwood flooring. And although it’s not exactly visible, residents benefit from the state-of-the-art internet wiring.
Prices here might be a little high for Midtown Toronto, but they're quite reasonable when compared to downtown Toronto condos for sale.
The Neighbourhood
Situated just north of Eglinton Avenue East, the residents at 185 Roehampton Avenue live in a bustling area of Midtown. Eglinton East around Redpath is lined with many office buildings that house a convenient array of restaurants and cafés in their ground level retail spaces. An expansive Loblaws and an LCBO are also not far off, at Lillian Street – less than a five-minute walk from 155 Redpath.
Additionally, just to the east, Mount Pleasant Road is home to an eclectic commercial scene. Beginning south of Eglinton, numerous independent and local boutiques and eateries can be found – highlighted by one of the first places to serve craft-beer in the city, the Granite Brewery.
Transportation
Living in such a thriving midtown area has many perks – one of them being the abundance of options for public transit. For those who commute to areas like Bay St. Corridor and the Financial District, the 141 Express Bus stops at Redpath and Eglinton East before heading straight into the downtown core. This bus eventually heads west on Richmond, and makes stops at Yonge, Bay, and Peter, before looping back around via Adelaide and traveling north.
Residents of 185 Roehampton Ave have options besides the 141 Express Bus. They’re also less than a ten-minute walk from Eglinton Station, on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line. Eglinton Station can be found at the intersection of Eglinton and Yonge, just southwest of 155 Redpath.
Last but not least, the location also caters well to those who drive. Traffic in the area moves relatively well, especially compared to the city centre. A quick route for drivers heading into the downtown core, might involve taking Mount Pleasant and then merging onto Jarvis. And for destinations that are farther from home, both the 401 and Don Valley Parkway can be reached in about fifteen minutes. The former can be accessed by driving north on Yonge, while the latter can be reached via Eglinton East.
